16.5 - Quantum Technology

On August 17, 2016, the Southgerman newspaper published an article about the launch of the Chinese satellite Mozi on August 15, 2016 from the Jiuquan spaceport, which is equipped with quantum technology for interception-secure communication - using entangled particles. Which, in the event of further development, enables tap-proof and instantaneous, i.e. over-light-fast, communication.
According to the outhgerman newspaper, Austrian physicists succeeded in 2012 in transmitting such entangled light quanta over a distance of 143 kilometres between the Canary Islands of Tenerife and La Palma. This is the beginning of a tap-proof and ultra-fast communication, a technology that will probably be generally available within a few years. As expected, the world's military will be keenly interested in this technology.
It can therefore be assumed that such a type of communication is not only meaningful with interstellar journeys, but even standard. So when space traveling aliens use this technology for communication, a silence in space on the electromagnetic frequency band is understandable due to the eavesdropping security on the one hand and the super-rapid signal speed on the other.
This means that only civilizations of a certain stage of development use electromagnetic signals and thus betray themselves, so to speak.
With SETI it would therefore only be possible to receive signals from civilizations on the same or similar technological level as we are. Another indication of the "limitation" of the SETI approach. On the basis of the facts listed, the following can be formulated in general terms:

16.5.1 Theorem SETI, in its current form, is pointless because we are using the wrong methods.
