Based on the final analysis in this book, there could be approximately 10,000 living „Earths 2“ and 80,000 inanimate „Earths 2“, as well as 7 million Earth-sized planets in the galaxy.
Settlement capacity: 1 daughter civilization per century

For a species the following applies:

After 1 million years, all living „Earths 2“ are populated.
After 9 million years, all of „Earths 2“ are populated.
After 700 million years, all Earth-sized planets are populated.

It is doubtful that a species will produce a colony every century for millions of years. And it is also doubtful that a species can survive for 700 million years. It can be concluded:

There are up to 10 ancient civilizations in the galaxy. The following applies to all ancient species:

After 100,000 years, all living „Earths 2“ are populated.
After 900,000 years, all „Earths 2“ are populated.
After 70 million years, all Earth-sized planets are populated.

After 1 million years, all of „Earths 2“ are populated. This is also the minimum lifespan of an ancient civilization. It follows:

It is likely that large parts of the galaxy are already populated.
