6.6.2 - Maximum/minimum considerations

According to the maximum considerations so far, 15 times as many„Earths 2“ can occur as specified in the model. This means that a maximum of 15 times as many civilizations can emerge as derived.

If all factors for life and intelligence are independent, FLi = 1:180. This results in a minimum value.

This results in a maximum/minimum:

Maximum: 120 to 3,360 technological civilizations
Minimum: 6 to 161 technological civilizations

Maximum: 90 to 2,550 comparable civilizations
Minimum: 5 to 123 comparable civilizations

Maximum: 30 to 825 interstellar spacefaring civilizations
Minimum: 2 to 40 interstellar spacefaring civilizations

According to Chapter 17, with around 825 interstellar spacefaring species, the galaxy would already be overpopulated, but this is unlikely. Therefore, the 15-fold value seems to be too large.
